In this guide, I have compiled a few tweaks and recommended settings that can possibly increase the fps.

If your PC is having a hard time keeping up with Kingdom Come: Deliverance, there are 16 ways to improve your frame rates (FPS). I made a guide for those who experience problems such as low fps, fps drop, stuttering, freezing, lag in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I suspect here the layered Armor system in the game (Which I adore) is a huge resource hog, and is accounting for a good chunk of the FPS loss when multiple NPC's are present. Some players are are facing massive fps drop in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Especially on DX11 and earlier games which all still rely on single-core programming techniques. The only way to overcome this bottleneck is raw FLOP/IOP single core performance, which is why Intel still tends to dominate most games over AMD. Even if your CPU isn't pegged, old DX11 games have what's called Drawcall bottleneck (All games in theory have a drawcall bottleneck but it takes a very specific kind of game, like Elder Scrolls and Kingdom Come, which do a lot of real time draws every second for dynamic elements like shadows, lighting and moving NPCs) so you can in fact still be "CPU limited" even if no diagnostic hardware is saying your CPU is working at 100% (Or even near 100%). The Game's (Beautiful) Global illumination, especially at night, pushes my 2080 to the limit (Very High/High, 1440P, Min FPS 40)ĬPU limitation is most obvious in scenes with many NPCs, Radzig's Camp outside Neuhoff, and most town squares, if you suddenly find your FPS dropping really quickly, it's CPU related. GPU limitation is going to usually manifest as Lighting and Shader related slowdown. This game is both GPU and CPU demanding, you have to find out where you're dropping FPS to really know which it is, without in-depth benchmarking, and it could be both. There's truth to this, but not absolute truth. If you wan´t more FPS lower shadows and/or physiks because they are calculated from the CPU. So in general lowering graphics will have little to no effect on the FPS.

compared to other games the CPU is far more important than the GPU in this game.

This means it needs a high CPU single clock core speed. Originally posted by Magnus_Sig:sorry, GTX 1080, 16GB of ram and i7-6700k The main problem of the game is that it runs on the old cry engine.
